Master painters paired it most often with Zinnwaldite brown (#2C1608), Raisin black (#242124), and Dark sienna (#3C1414). The combination forms a moody, nocturnal chord, built on a complementary hue split, leans on warm companions to lift a cool source color, with the pair colors held at a similar value to the source.
